The images are composed from several photographs of people at tourist attractions in Istanbul and Copenhagen. The sights have been overused to represent the cities and have turned into symbols of the cities.

There is often a mismatch between the images that we see of tourist sights and the actual experience of a sight. The spectacle series shifts the focus from the sight itself to the ritualised behaviour that these sights produce.
