How do you build a concept? How do you progress from idea to design?
You will learn about the methodology of developing a concept and progress through the different phases of the creative process. You will work with concrete tools that will help you structure, develop and realise future projects.
Idea generation, research and testing are all part of a structured approach to establishing a product or a concept. You will be working in groups and on your own with hands-on research, taking pictures, making moodboards, tests and sketches.
2 DAYS The two day workshop is an introduction to Concept Development where you will be engaged in a number of smaller assignments. The focus is on the process rather than the final outcome and the goal is mainly to explore the different stages of the creative process and learn about the methodology of developing a project.
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
Coming up with original ideas and turning them into a valued product or design is challenging. Where do you start?
Over the course of the workshop days you will produce a creative concept. You will take part in a number of practical games and challenges designed to trigger your imagination and enhance your creative skills. We will guide you through each step of the process; from generating an idea, to developing a concept and transforming it into a complete design. You will be working in groups with hands-on research, taking pictures, making moodboards, tests and sketches.
We think of failure as an essential part of creating a concept and strive to create an atmosphere where all ideas are valued in a playful process.
Materials, lunch and refreshments are included in the prize. The workshops have maximum 8 people per tutor and maximum 16 people per workshop.
